  • Exploring holographic wavefront shaping in novel photonic crystal fibre microreactors for spatially resolved chemical sensing in nL-sized sample volumes and for optical manipulation of plasmonic nanoparticle suspensions.

PhD: Holographic Control of Light Propagation in Optical Waveguides

  • Leveraging computer-generated holography to control of every aspect of light propagation in an optical waveguide length, both along its length as well as at its tip.

  • Working for the UK’s National Measurement Institute, specialising in radiofrequency and microwave measurements.

  • Delivering several large-scale NMS, EMRP and consultancy research projects and providing world-leading expertise in the field of electromagnetic exposure metrology.

  • Maintaining the UK’s national standards in this field, as well as development of new measurement standards, techniques and services.
